
Brig Bogue is an interdisciplinary artist and musician based in Western New York. Their current body of work explores queer representation in Hayes Code era Hollywood through mediums of video, print, animation, textiles, and photography.
Brig has been a collaborating printer for Ericka Walker, Althea Murphy-Price, Neil Mattern, and Janet Ballweg, creating prints published by ieaEditions under the leadership of iea Director, Myles Calvert.
Their work has been exhibited nationally, including at the Cohen Gallery (Alfred, NY), Textile Center (Minneapolis, MN), and PAPA Projects (Minneapolis, MN). Their graphic design work has been commissioned by musicians such as Martin Chiesl, KARL SORO, CHOOSE YR WEAPON, Janet Earth, Weird Adults, and Twin Riverz.
As a violinist, Brig has collaborated with Emmy winning audio engineer Ryan Micheal Shaw, Elisha Phil (Bird’s Eye), Anthony Hawkins (Sad Planet), and Orca Welles. They’ve also performed with ensembles such as the Riverside Chamber Symphony of Eugene, OR, the Minnesota Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Spiazzo Piano Trio.
